We are a group of church women who meet on the first Wednesday of each month at 9:30 am in Lewis Hall. Our goals include making easy Prayer Quilts for our ill or incapacitated church members. These are blessed by our priest and then presented to the intended recipient. All of the fabric, tools and instruction are available at the meeting. Just a willingness to participate is required. Conversation,coffee and cookies are included.
Currently we are beginning an exciting new project: fleece throws for the Foster children. As the ages vary from newborns to 18 years of age, we have a wide latitude for fleece selection. These throws require no sewing: just cutting a fringe and creating a permanent edge. This allows for lots of conversation and fellowship. We will continue through the summer so mark your calendars: July 1, August 5.
