Transfiguration House in Eureka, California is a place of prayer, hospitality, spiritual formation and educational outreach. The Sisters follow a schedule of prayer, meditation and worship, welcoming guests to join in with any or all of the Daily Offices. There is a weekly celebration of the Holy Eucharist for Sisters, Associates and friends, followed by breakfast and conversation.
Guests are welcome to come for a few hours or a few days – for solitude or for company. Two guest bedrooms provide privacy and comfort. The Sisters enjoy experimenting with the many edible gifts that God provides, so meals are varied and usually interesting. Along with individual guests, Transfiguration House welcomes a variety of groups including a monthly day of silent reflection, parish meetings and Quiet Days.
The Sisters offer spiritual direction or companionship. From Transfiguration House they go out to congregations to offer retreats, workshops and preaching. The Sisters are also involved in the Diocese of Northern California. Other ministries include making and teaching about the Anglican Rosary, sponsoring retreats for Associates and friends and being generally available as needed.
